  • Our rates in American Dollar are inclusive of the superior, first class or tourist class hotels with private facilities on the designated board, meals as indicated on the itinerary by the code letters (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), government licensed English speaking guides throughout the land tours, private air-conditioned transportation, admission fees, luggage handling, local taxes and service charges, arrival and departure  airport/port transfers at the beginning and on the last day of the tours regardless the flight times.

  • Our rates are exclusive of the personal expenses, optional tours, customary tips to the guides and drivers, port taxes on the cruises.

  • There will be 2.5% discount for third person who shares the same room with two other persons.

PRX 102 - JEWELS OF THE EAST (9 DAYS-8 NIGHTS)

 

Kahta (1) - Sanliurfa (1) - Diyarbakir (1) - Mardin (1) - Van (2) – Dogu Beyazit (1) – Erzurum (1) 

 

Day 1: Cappadocia-Kahta

Departure from Cappadocia. Visit the 13th century Seljukian Caravanserai Karatayhan. After lunch drive to Kahramanmaras and then to Kahta to check in to the hotel (B, D).

 

Day 2: Mt. Nemrut - Sanliurfa - Harran

Depart to drive up to the mountain ealy morning (around 03:00) to watch the sunrise between the colossal statues of the kings and gods. Further to the sunrise visit the ruins located on top of the Mt. Nemrut and in the surroundings including Arsemia, Roman bridge of Cendere and Karakus Tumulus before driving back to Kahta. After breakfast drive on to Sanliurfa to visit Harran, a village of beehive houses where Abraham spent last years of his life as mentioned in the book of Genesis and the pools of holy carp (Balikli Gol/Fish Lake) surrounding it. Overnight in Sanliurfa (B, D). 

 

Day 3: Urfa – Mardin - Diyarbakir

Drive to Diyarbakir, formerly called Amid, and visit one of the longest city walls of the world. Afternoon drive to Mardin for overnight (B, D). 

 

Day 4: Mardin

Drive to Suryani Deyr-ul Zaferan Monastery in the morning. Return to the city for a walking tour including Kadim Kirklar Monastery and the famous Anthological and Etnographical Museum of the city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel (B, D). 

 

Day 5: Mardin – Hasankeyf – Van

Visit Hasankeyf which stands as the living evidence to the multifaceted cultural foundations of the Arabs, Seljuks, Mongolians and Ottomans. Sadly, most of it will be lost under the flows of the rivers after the completion of GAP Project for building dams in the region. Dinner and overnight at the hotel (B, D). 

 

Day 6: Van

Take a small boat to ride to Akdamar Island and visit the Akdamar Church on Lake Van. This church has one of the most complete scene collections of the Old Testament carved on the faηade of the church. Late afternoon tour of Urartian Fortress of Van. Dinner and overnight at the hotel (B, D). 

 

Day 7: Van - Dogu Beyazit

Contiue onto Dogubeyazit to observe the beauty of the Mt. Ararat from a distance. Then we will continue to Ishak Pasa Palace, which is one the oldest and most complex palace complexes of the world dating back to the 12th century. Dinner and overnight at the hotel (B, D). 

 

Day 8: Dogubeyazit – Ani – Kars – Erzurum

Proceed further to the Armenian border to see the famous ancient Armenian city of Ani. The city was established as an Armenian capital and continued as a prosperious trading city under the Byzantines and Seljuks. Afternon drive to Erzurum and check in to the hotel (B, D). 

 

Day 09: Erzurum

Transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to your further destination (B).
