What is a Gullet?

 

The singular design of the Gullets, Turkey's indigenous sea-going vessel, blends practicality and tradition in a relaxed style.  Over the years Gullets have evolved from traditional crafts for fishing and transport into their present profile with a broad beam and wide deck, equipped with motors as well as fully functional rigging. These vessels generally have 4 to 6 twin or double cabins with private facilities.

PRS 700 / FROM BODRUM TO PARADISE ON A GULLET

 

There is little that comes as close to sheer relaxation than being on a beautiful Turkish boat cruising the Aegean. Take a day away from the bustle of life and sail on the sparkling Aegean Sea where the cool breeze refreshes you from the mid-day sun. Visit islands where you can swim in crystal clear waters, ideal for snorkelling or swimming in hot spring water.

 

Lunch is taken on the boat. As the day draws to a close, we sail back into Bodrum Harbour just as the town is getting ready for the night time activities.

PRS 701 / BLUE VOYAGE (7 NIGHTS / MARMARIS-FETHIYE-MARMARIS)

Departs on Saturdays

 

SAT         :

Boarding the yacht in Marmaris. Dinner and overnight is in the harbor.

SUN        :

Departure after breakfast. Cruising about 2 hours we reach Ekincik. From Ekincik, you can take a boat trip to the ancient city of Kaunos, Lycian rock tombs and mud baths. The journey will be made in the labyrinth of the delta of Dalyan Cayi, surrounded with thick vegetation of reed. Here, also, is the Iztuzu beach made famous by its visiting sea turtles. Overnight is in Ekincik.

MON       :

Cruising approx. 3.5 hours to Agalimani behind Cap Kurdoglu. Swimming and lunch here. In the afternoon, arriving in the bay of Manastir. Swimming breaks here and in the Cleopatra and Hamam bays. Dinner and overnight will be in a lovely, calm bay.

TUE         :

Visiting other lovely places in the Gulf, like Tersane and/or Yassica Islands. Late afternoon we will arrive in Gocek. Dinner and overnight.

WED       :

Departure to Fethiye. Here you can see the Lycian rock tombs of ancient Telmessos or walk around in the city. After lunch, cruising to Oludeniz. A long swimming stop here and then cruising to Gemiler Island for overnight.

THU        :

A long cruise of nearly 4 hours along the Disibilmez and Baba Islands to Ekincik. Overnight is in one of the bays here.

FRI          :

Cruise to Inceada-Gebe-Kilise. In the afternoon cruise to Turunç with swimming stops in Kadirga and Kumlubuk. Last dinner on board.

SAT         :

Disembarking in Marmaris

 

PRS 702 / BLUE VOYAGE (7 NIGHTS / BODRUM-GOKOVA-BODRUM)

Departs on Sundays

 

SUN        :

Boarding the yacht in Bodrum. Welcome drink and information about the yacht and the tour program, overnight in the harbor of Bodrum or in a near bay.

MON       :

Departure after breakfast. With a cruise of 3-4 hours, we arrive at Cati, a lovely bay surrounded with pine trees on the south coast of the gulf. Dinner and overnight here in the region of "Seven Islands".

TUE        :

After breakfast we will give a stop in the Kufre Bay, we suggest you a short walk through the storax (liquidambar) forest. In the afternoon we will arrive at Longoz for dinner and overnight.

WED       :

Today we will visit the Island Cleopatra (Cedreae). On the west of the island, a wonderful little beach is situated. It's said that the sand of this beach was brought by Antonious for Cleopatra from the desert of North Africa. Late in the afternoon, we leave the island to anchor in Karacasogut. (This small village is only 30 km from Marmaris and you have the opportunity to go there by taxi or a small bus.)

THU        :

Leaving Karacasogut, we arrive after short cruise Tuzla (Saline) Bay. A small creek on the west side of this bay is called Ingiliz Limani (English Harbor). This name is derived from the Second World War, where English torpedo boats hid from the German battle ships. Dinner and overnight in one of the lovely bays here around.

FRI          :

Leaving English Harbor, we cruise to the northern side of the Gulf to Akbuk. Here we will spend some hours for lunch and swimming. In the afternoon, we continue our trip to Cokertme Bay (2 hours) for overnight.

SAT         :

Today we cruise back to Bodrum. After swimming stops by Kisebuku and / or Ciftlik, we will sail to the harbor of Bodrum or in a near bay for last dinner and overnight.

SUN        :

Disembarking in Bodrum after breakfast.
